Leggit.ie: Press Coverage After Launch

Leggit.ie: Press Coverage After Launch

A few weeks after launch, Leggit.ie was featured in the local paper. Here's how the project started, what's launched since, and where we're heading next.

A few weeks ago, we launched Leggit.ie, a platform built to make discovering running races across Ireland significantly easier.

The idea came from a frustrating experience shared by a lot of runners: jumping between race websites, Facebook posts, Instagram pages, and outdated calendars trying to figure out what events were actually happening.

So we built something better.

  • 🏃 Discover races by county or distance in seconds
  • 📅 Browse upcoming events based on your training plans and schedule
  • 🔎 Explore races across Ireland that you otherwise might never have found

Since launch, it's been incredible seeing runners across Ireland sharing the platform, planning races together, and discovering new events every week.

What We've Shipped Since Launch

  • Leggit profiles to save and track upcoming races
  • Full coverage of races across Northern Ireland
  • Shareable race calendars with friends and training groups
  • One-click export to Garmin, Apple Calendar, and Google Calendar
  • Ongoing improvements to discovery, filtering, and performance

Leggit started with a simple goal: making race discovery easier, faster, and more accessible for runners everywhere.

We're still only getting started.

There's a lot more planned for Leggit.ie over the coming months, and we're incredibly grateful for the support, feedback, and race suggestions from the running community so far.
