Race Results in Ireland: Find Your Time on Leggit

How to find your race results
- Head to leggit.ie/results and find your race. Recent races are at the top, or search by race name.
- Open the race and type your name into the finisher search. It matches full names, so "Mary O'Brien" gets you straight there even in a field of thousands.
- That's it. Your time, your placing, and your category placing if you took one.
Results usually land on Leggit shortly after the race finishes. If your race isn't up yet, check back later in the day. Each results set is marked provisional or final, with the date we last checked it, so you know whether the timing company is still proofing the list.

Gun time vs chip time: which one counts?
Every time on Leggit is labelled so you know exactly which you're looking at.
Gun time runs from the starting signal to the moment you cross the finish line. If you started at the back of a big field, the seconds it took you to reach the start line are included.
Chip time runs from the moment you cross the start mat to the moment you cross the finish mat. It's your actual running time, and for most of us it's the fairer number.
Which one is official? In most Irish road races, prizes are decided on gun time (first across the line wins), while your personal record is usually the chip time. If you're chasing a PB, chip time is your number.
What do the category placings mean?
Irish road racing uses age categories, typically in bands: F35, M40, F45, M50 and so on. Your category placing is where you finished among runners in your own band. So "1st F40" beside a result means first woman in the over-40 category, which in plenty of races comes with a prize.
Leggit calls out category standings on the results, and you can filter a results list down to a single age category, so you can see at a glance who took the honours in each band, or confirm that you did.
