Race details
The Athy Half Marathon, 10K & 5K returns to County Kildare on Sunday 9 August 2026, starting from Emily Square. The half marathon is a flat, fast route that crosses Athy's canal bridges and includes a scenic countryside loop with views of the Barrow Valley before returning through the town centre. The 10km is a single-loop course; the 5km is a family-friendly tour of Athy's historic streets.
