Fei Sheehy Challenge was a running event with Full Marathon, 92 km, 32 km and 30 km distances in County Tipperary on Sunday 9 August 2026. This event is organised by Na Sléibhte Hillwalking Club and supported privately by individuals, businesses and the broader hill walking community to showcase the beautiful mountains in the area. It is also one of the few challenge hillwalking events endorsed by Mountaineering Ireland. The challenge is to cross the Comeragh, Galty and Knockmealdown Mountains on the three designated, consecutive, days. It is a self-navigation and self-reliance event only. There will be no walk leaders provided. We encourage the competent use/practice of personal mountain skills. The cumulative distance over the 3 days is circa 92K and the height gain/descent is circa 4,200m Friday - Comeragh Mountains, 32km with 1400m ascent Saturday - Galty Mountains, 30km with 1700m ascent Sunday - Knockmealdown Mountains, 30km with 1100m ascent You don't have to do all 3 days.
