Race details
West Waterford Athletic Club hosts the Greenway Half Marathon on Saturday 29th August at 9am, run along the old Waterford to Dungarvan railway line. The route follows the famous Waterford Greenway, a spectacular off road trail opened in 2017. Entries are limited to 750 and open on 1st July through Eventmaster. The entry fee includes a specially commissioned Greenway dri fit t shirt. The club supports a charity with each event, and this year it is St John's Special School in Dungarvan, which teaches children with learning disabilities from Dungarvan, West Waterford and beyond. The school urgently needs a new 9 seater vehicle to keep its community based learning going, and proceeds go towards it.
