Half on the Head is a half marathon around the rugged coast of the Kerry Head peninsula on the Wild Atlantic Way, starting and finishing in Ballyheigue village. The route follows country roads by the Shannon Estuary, then loops back to Tralee Bay with views of Mount Brandon and Banna Strand, finishing at the gates of Ballyheigue Castle. A 10k run with similar views starts and finishes in the village, and walkers are welcome on both routes with earlier starts.
