Night Challenge 4 — Glendalough 23 October 2026, Wicklow A spectacular and demanding night run through one of Ireland’s most iconic valleys—moonlit lakes, forest trails, and a summit push up Derrybawn. 📍 Location: Wicklow 🕢 Time: 19:30 📏 Distance: 10km (Short course: 5km) ⛰️ Climb: 490m ⚡ Difficulty: 6 — Moderate terrain, 200–500m ascent, 6–10km 📡 GPS: Not allowed 🎽 League: Night Challenges 🧰 Mandatory Kit (Level B) Waterproof jacket Hat/buff Gloves Whistle Fully charged mobile phone (emergency number saved) Foil blanket / bivvy Final kit requirements confirmed at registration; checks may occur. 🗺️ Route Overview Long Course — 10km A stunning loop starting beside the Upper Lake, climbing to the summit of Derrybawn for sweeping valley views. The descent reveals the lights of Laragh, before joining sections of the Wicklow Way and St Kevin’s Way. A tough but unmissable night challenge. Short Course — 4.8km A loop of the Lower Lake that merges with the long course for the final 2km.
