Race details
The Warriors Run is one of Ireland's toughest competitive races, taking place in Strandhill, County Sligo on Saturday 22 August 2026. The 15km route runs from the Cannon Gun at Strandhill beachfront to the top of Knocknarea Mountain, around Queen Maeve's Cairn at the summit, and back to the beach. Approximately 9km is on paved road; the 6km in the middle is a 700ft climb through fields, loose ground, and rocky terrain to the summit.
